HPL / Trespa Material
Re: HPL/Trespa Material
I have looked all over my city in Florida and no one seems to have even heard of this product. I called a few suppliers and all they seem to know about is HPL in sheets that you glue to a substrate such as MDF. I want to get some that is thick like plywood. If anyone reading this knows of a supplier drop me a line.

Re: HPL / Trespa Material
I've searched around for the material quite a lot (I'm in Europe)Suso wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2016 10:41 amWhat is Hpl?
HPL stands for “high pressure laminate.” In my opinion, it’s an incredibly versatile material. After I became familiar with it, I started using it in many projects.
Europe:
https://www.s-polytec.com/plastic-sheet ... nline.html
https://kunststofplatenshop.nl/trespa-plaat/
I found only tosize.it which is astronomically expensive (~260 EUR/m2) then i saw this post
However the links provided DO NOT offer 13 mm thick plates...
Do you have perhaps more recent luck on line (Europe) ?
Thanks

Re: HPL / Trespa Material
hi mate,
Compacmel (HDF) is not the same as HPL. HDF varies in size due to moisture, and is softer than HPL.
If it is to be used with the Mobile Workbench, I recommend using a birch plywood board with HPL veneer on the faces, as I did here

Hi Suso,
can I use HPL (https://www.s-polytec.com/hpl-sheets-wh ... m-cut.html) 8mm thick instead of 9mm for Drill Press Stand?
Thank you in advice.
Kind regards,
Ziga

Re: HPL / Trespa Material
Has anyone in the US tried Indiamart for buying HPL. I took a look and was somewhat overwhelmed by the choices and was a bit apprehensive of asking for quotes. If you've used it, how was your experience?
